Kintsugi now supports Goods & Services Tax (GST) in Australia and New Zealand. This includes monitoring nexus, submitting or importing registrations, and using the tax engine to collect taxes on SaaS transactions.


What’s Supported

Australia

  • Monitor all three types of nexuses

  • Submit new registrations

  • Import existing registrations

  • Collect taxes on B2B SaaS and B2C SaaS product categories with the tax engine

New Zealand

  • Monitor all three types of nexuses

  • Submit new registrations

  • Import existing registrations

  • Use the tax engine to collect taxes on B2B SaaS and B2C SaaS product categories


How It Works

  1. Dashboard Access

    • Australia and New Zealand are now included on the Kintsugi's Dashboard tab.

    • Use the Region selector dropdown list in the Exposure Map to visualize exposure and status.

    • Use the Filter button to view data and more details for either country.

  2. Monitoring Nexus

    • The Monitoring tab now has the nexus details obligations for both Australia and New Zealand.

    • Use the Region selector dropdown list to review nexus details and obligations.

    • The Filter button offers an alternative method for viewing nexus details for Australia and New Zealand.

  3. Registrations

    • The Registration tab now supports the following actions for Australia and New Zealand:

      • Submit a new registration request

      • Import an existing registration

      • Deregister if needed

  4. Presence

    • From the Presence tab, adding presence categories can also be added for both Australia and New Zealand.

  5. Tax Engine Collection

    • Kintsugi’s tax engine is enabled to collect sales tax on SaaS product categories (B2B and B2C) for both regions.
