Enabling Secondary Logon in California

This guide helps you set up a secondary logon for Kintsugi using your CDTFA account.
Updated 15 days ago

To allow Kintsugi to file and remit sales tax on your behalf in California, we must be granted access to your California Department of Tax and Fee Administration (CDTFA) account. A security code is typically needed for approval, but if you already have your own login for the CDTFA Online Services, you can bypass the code entirely by approving Kintsugi’s request directly in your dashboard.

  1. Log in to your CDTFA account.

  2. Once logged in, go to “Settings.”

5. Fill in the “Create a Logon for Someone Else” section.

5.1 Use this for email: kintsugi-ai-production@tax-platform.com
5.2 Click the “Next” button.

6. After doing the steps above, Kintsugi will receive an email from CDTFA with additional instructions and it has to be done within an hour. So, please notify us once you are done with your part. Otherwise, you will have to repeat the whole process again to trigger a new email from the state of California.
