This article guides you through logging in to your Louisiana Department of Revenue account and updating your Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) settings. By adding Kintsugi’s secure group email, you can give us direct access to your Louisiana tax registration—eliminating the need for phone calls or repeated verification code exchanges.

Note: Louisiana State and Parish filings will be submitted through the new Parish E-File system.
Your Louisiana Department of Revenue login credentials (username & password)
Log in to your Louisiana Department of Revenue account.
Go to the LaTAP website.
Enter your credentials and click “Log in.”
On the next page, click on “More options” to continue.
Select the third option, “Get an email with your security code at [email address].”
Verify the security code.
4.1. Check your email for the security code.
4.2. Enter the security code.
4.3. Click the “Confirm” button to continue.
Go to “Manage My Profile”
Go to the “Two-Step Verification Settings.”
6.1 Under the “Security” section, look for “Two-Step Verification Settings.”
6.2 Click on “Change Two-Step Settings.”
On the next page, click on “Add Email.”
Update your Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) method
8.1. Access the Virtual Mail Group (VMG) ID within the Kintsugi app.
Navigate to: Configuration > Kintsugi Mail > Virtual Mail Group > Group ID
8.2. Copy the VMG ID:
⚠️ IMPORTANT: Please make sure to add your personal or work email in the Virtual Mail Group. This is to ensure you continuously receive important updates and messages from state portals. 8.3. Simply paste the Virtual Group Mail ID you copied from the Kintsugi platform into the primary email field below. After entering the required information, click the "Save" button.
Verify the change
A verification code will be sent to the email address you linked to Kintsugi’s Virtual Mail Group (VMG)
Copy the verification code that was sent to the email—the one you added or connected in the Virtual Mail Group. Then, paste it into the website or portal to verify and complete the 2FA setup.
Once verified, your account is now connected, and Kintsugi can access it as needed.
