Arkansas Credentials for Importing Registration

How to locate the state-issued credentials required for importing your Arkansas registration.
Updated 2 days ago

To import your existing Arkansas sales tax registration into Kintsugi, you'll need to provide a few details issued by the Arkansas Department of Finance and Administration (DFA) when you registered your business. Once imported, Kintsugi can manage your Arkansas sales tax filings.

Required Credentials

When importing an existing Arkansas sales tax registration into Kintsugi, you'll need the following:

  • Registered Business Name

  • FEIN (Federal Employer Identification Number)

  • AR Account ID

  • ZIP Code

  • Last Payment Made to the State

What's My Registered Business Name?

Your Registered Business Name is the official and legal business name you provided to the state when you registered for your sales tax license or permit.

Where to find it

It should be listed on your sales tax registration paperwork. Here are the different ways to find it:

  • Your Texas Sales Tax Permit. The business name appears on the permit issued to you by the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts after registration.

  • Your Texas Comptroller correspondence. Any notices, letters, or account-related communications from the Texas Comptroller's office will reference your registered business name.

  • Texas Sales Taxpayer Search. Look up your business at mycpa.cpa.state.tx.us. Your registered business name will appear alongside your account details.

  • Your Webfile account. Log in to the Texas Comptroller's eSystems/Webfile portal and review your business profile or account information.

What's My FEIN?

Your FEIN (Federal Employer Identification Number) is the 9-digit number issued to your business by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS). It is used to verify your business identity during the import process.

Where to find it?

Your FEIN can be found on IRS correspondence, your EIN confirmation letter, or any previously filed federal tax returns.

What's My AR Account ID?

Your AR Account ID is the Account ID you received from the state when you registered for your sales tax or vendor's use tax license. It should be on the permit confirmation letter you received from the state after registration, and it normally ends in -SLS.

Where to find it?

You can find your AR account ID in any of the following places:

  • Your Arkansas Sales Tax Permit Confirmation Letter. The AR Account ID is included in the permit confirmation letter sent to you by the Arkansas DFA after you completed your sales tax registration.

  • Your Arkansas Sales Tax Permit or Registration Paperwork. Your state-issued registration documents should include the account ID assigned to your Arkansas sales tax account.

  • Arkansas Taxpayer Access Point (ATAP). Log in to your Arkansas DFA account at atap.arkansas.gov and review your account details or business profile to locate your Account ID.

  • Arkansas DFA Correspondence. Any notices, letters, or communications from the Arkansas Department of Finance and Administration may reference your AR Account ID.

What's My ZIP Code?

This is the ZIP code you used to register your business with the state, usually associated with the primary business address you used when registering for your Arkansas sales tax license.

Where to find it?

Refer to your Arkansas sales tax registration paperwork or your original business registration documents. You can also find it in your ATAP account and other correspondence with the Arkansas Department of Finance and Administration.

What's My Last Payment Made to the State?

This is the exact amount of the last payment you made to the state of Arkansas on your last return, your last estimated payment, or the $50.00 Sales Tax Permit fee. This amount is used to verify your identity and validate the account during the import process. Make sure the amount matches exactly, including dollars and cents.

πŸ’‘ No prior payments? If you have never made a payment to the state of Arkansas, enter $0.00 as the payment amount.

Where to find it?

You can find this in your Arkansas Taxpayer Access Point (ATAP) account.

  1. Log in to your ATAP account.

Next Step

Once you provide the required credentials, Kintsugi will initiate the third-party access request. You do not need to validate or approve the request separately, as Kintsugi will complete this step on your behalf.

Once access is confirmed, Kintsugi can continue with the registration import setup in the app.
