Documents Required for Business Registration in United Kingdom

A consolidated overview of the documentation required to successfully complete UK registration.
Updated 4 months ago

To proceed with UK registration, customers must submit a defined set of documents to satisfy identity verification and compliance requirements. Providing complete and valid documentation upfront helps streamline the review process and minimizes processing delays.

Identity Verification

We require one government-issued photo ID to verify the customer’s identity. Accepted documents include:

  • Passport

  • Photocard driving license

  • National identity card

The document must be current, clearly legible, and include a government-issued photograph.

Proof of Supporting Evidence

In addition to identity verification, customers must provide two supplementary documents. Copies are acceptable, provided the information is clear and readable.

Accepted documents include:

  • Mortgage statement

  • Lease or rental agreement

  • Work permit or visa

  • Correspondence from the Department for Work and Pensions confirming entitlement to benefits

  • Recent utility bill

  • Birth certificate

Additional Business Documentation

The following documents are also required to complete the registration process:

  • IRS Letter CP 575

  • Letter of Incorporation

Important Notes

  • All submitted documents must be accurate, up-to-date, and match the information provided during registration.

  • Incomplete or inconsistent documentation may result in follow-up requests and extended processing timelines.

Ensuring all requirements are met prior to submission helps keep the registration workflow on track and reduces back-and-forth during validation.
