If your business is registered under the EU One Stop Shop (OSS) scheme, Kintsugi prepares a single OSS return that covers your qualifying sales across all EU Member States. This guide shows you how to find that filing, review the numbers, and approve it so it can be submitted on time.
Navigation path: Log in > Filings > Region dropdown: Europe & UK > locate your OSS filing > Approve > review the Filing Details > File
All EU OSS amounts are shown in Euro (EUR). Even if your sales were made in other currencies, the filing displays and remits in EUR.
You may not need to do anything. Auto-Approve is enabled by default, so a filing you take no action on is approved automatically on the 5th of the month. Approving manually is only needed if you want to review and lock the numbers yourself, or approve earlier. See Auto-Approve and Auto-File Feature.
Totals can still change while a filing is Unfiled. Until a filing is approved, the total keeps updating as your connected platforms sync new or corrected transaction data. Approval is what locks the number.
Approving the filing also authorizes the payment. There is no separate payment approval step. For the full breakdown, see Manually Approving Unfiled Filings in the Kintsugi App.
Log in to your Kintsugi account and click Filings in the left-side menu. This page lists every return Kintsugi has prepared for you, along with its current status.
At the top of the Filings page, open the Region dropdown and select Europe & UK. This narrows the list to your European filings, including your EU OSS return.
If you have several filings listed, click the Filter button to narrow them down. You can filter by:
Country
Status, such as Unfiled, Filing, Filed, or Paused. To understand what each status means, see Filing Statuses Explained.
Date, using a start and end date range
Tick your choices, then click Apply. To review a return that is awaiting approval, filter by the Unfiled status.
Check the filing row before approving. Confirm the jurisdiction, the filing period, the due date, and the total liability all match what you expect for your EU OSS return. Amounts are displayed in EUR.
Once you are confident in the details, hover over the filing row and click the Approve button on the right side.
A Filing Details window opens with a summary of the return: the jurisdiction, due date, period, transaction count, and total amounts. Review each line carefully. When everything looks right, click File.
That is it. Your EU OSS return is now approved and on its way to submission.
Your total locks. The filing amount is final and stops updating.
The return is submitted. Kintsugi files your OSS return with the tax authority.
The payment follows. The amount due is collected from your linked bank account and remitted, so make sure your banking details are set up and current in your account settings.
You can track the return on the Filings page as it moves from Filing to Filed.
If something looks off and you want to prevent the filing from being approved automatically, you can pause it. See How to Pause a Filing to Prevent Auto-Approval for the steps and timing rules.
