Enabling Third-Party Access in West Virginia

Instructions for enabling third-party access in the West Virginia MyTaxes portal.

This guide provides the steps to allow third-party access to your West Virginia sales tax account. Granting these permissions is necessary for Kintsugi to collect your registration details and operationalize the registration import in our app.


Step 1: Access your West Virginia state tax account

  1. Go to MyTaxes.

  2. Enter your username and password.

  3. Click the “Log in.”

Step 2: Manage Profile

  1. Click the “Manage My Profile” in the upper right corner of the screen.

Step 3: Click “More…” to continue

Step 4: Grant Third-Party Access

  1. Look for the “Third-Party Access” section.

  2. Click on “Grant Third-Party Access.”

Step 5: Enter Kintsugi’s business details

  1. Enter Kintsugi’s business details from 1Password.

    1. Third-Party Logon: KintsugiWV

    2. Third-Party Email: state-notifications@trykintsugi.com

  2. Click “Next.”

Step 6: Click on “This is the correct Third Party”

Step 7: Select accounts to grant access

  1. For the “Select Accounts to Grant Access,” choose “Sales & Use Tax.”

  1. For the “Access Level,” select “File & Pay.”

  1. Click the “Submit” button.


Step 8: Re-enter your password

  1. A pop-up will appear on screen asking you to enter your password.

  2. Enter your password and click “Ok.”

Step 9: Kintsugi will receive a confirmation of the request

Kintsugi will be notified of your third-party access request. Click “Ok.”


Step 10: Log out of your account
