When comparing your Stripe invoices with the transaction totals in Kintsugi, you may notice differences in counts or total sales amounts. In most cases, this isn’t a data ingestion issue. It’s related to missing or invalid address information on specific transactions.
This article walks you through where to find the exact number of Stripe transactions Kintsugi has synced and received and also how to identify invoices that need attention.
Kintsugi successfully ingests all eligible transactions from Stripe. However, transactions with missing or invalid customer addresses are classified separately and are excluded from tax calculations and total sales metrics until the address data is complete.
Common scenarios include:
Invoices that were paid but created without a customer address
Older Stripe invoices generated before address collection was enforced
Transactions with partially filled or blank address fields
These transactions are still recorded in Kintsugi. They’re just flagged for completion.
To see all Stripe transactions Kintsugi has ingested (including those missing addresses):
Log in to your Kintsugi account.
Go to Transactions.
Navigate to Incomplete Addresses.
Select Blank Addresses.
You can also access this page directly here:
https://app.trykintsugi.com/addresses/blank
This view shows:
All Stripe invoice IDs with missing address data
The total number of affected transactions
A one-to-one match with the corresponding invoices in Stripe
This is the best reference point for cross-checking Stripe invoice counts against Kintsugi’s records.
Want to see your total transactions in Stripe?
To compare totals, you may also reference Stripe’s documentation on viewing and managing invoices in the Stripe Dashboard. This helps ensure you’re comparing equivalent transaction types and statuses. To learn more, please read:

To ensure these transactions are included in your totals and reporting:
Add or correct the customer address directly in Stripe for the affected invoices.
You may refer to this Stripe help doc for more information: https://docs.stripe.com/invoicing/invoice-edits?testing-method=without-code
Once the address is updated in Stripe, Kintsugi will process the transaction correctly and include it in the Transactions tab and total sales calculations.
Address updates made in Kintsugi only apply within the Kintsugi platform. They do not sync back to Stripe.
If you identify missing or incorrect addresses:
Always update them in Stripe (the source system).
Review your Stripe settings to ensure future transactions capture complete address information.
This helps maintain consistent transaction counts, accurate totals, and reliable tax calculations going forward.
