Ask Claude about your nexus, filings, and transactions in plain language, and get answers straight from your Kintsugi account.

Connect your Kintsugi account to Claude so you can ask questions about your tax compliance data in plain language. The connection uses the Kintsugi MCP server, a secure, read-only bridge between Claude and your Kintsugi organization.

Once connected, you can ask Claude things like "Which states am I approaching nexus in?" or "Show me my filings due this month," and Claude pulls the answer directly from your live Kintsugi data.

A Claude plan that supports connectors (Pro, Max, Team, or Enterprise)

Before You Start

The Kintsugi MCP is read-only. Claude can look up your data, but it cannot change anything in your Kintsugi account. It cannot file a return, submit a registration, edit a transaction, or move money. Anything you see in Claude reflects your account as it is right now.

Claude only sees the data your Kintsugi login can see. If your account is limited to one organization, the connection is limited to that organization too.

Steps in Connecting Kintsugi MCP to Claude

Go to Settings.
Select Connectors.
Browse or search the connectors directory for Kintsugi.
Select Kintsugi and Click Connect to proceed.
Claude redirects you to a Kintsugi sign-in page.
1. If prompted, sign in with your Kintsugi credentials. This is the same email and password you use for the Kintsugi app. No API key is needed.
2. Make sure to tick the “Read Resources” box to continue.
3. Authorize the connection. Review the access summary and confirm.

How to Confirm it Worked

Kintsugi appears in your connectors list with a connected status. To test it, start a new chat and ask Claude a question about your account, for example: "What does my Kintsugi dashboard show right now?" Claude should respond with data from your organization, not a generic answer.

The connection is read-only. Claude cannot create, edit, or delete anything in your Kintsugi account

You need an active Kintsugi account. The connector does not offer a trial or demo dataset

FAQs

Q: Is my data safe?
A: Yes. The connection uses OAuth 2.0, the same standard used by connections like Google and Slack. You sign in directly with Kintsugi, Claude never sees your password, and every tool in the connector is read-only. Kintsugi is SOC 2 Type II compliant.

Q: Can Claude change anything in my Kintsugi account?

A: No. Every capability in the Kintsugi MCP is read-only. Claude can retrieve and summarize your data, but it cannot modify it or take any action on your behalf.

Q: How do I disconnect?

A: In Claude, go to Settings > Connectors, find Kintsugi, and remove it. This revokes Claude's access immediately. Your Kintsugi account is not affected.

Q: Can I use the Kintsugi MCP with other AI assistants?
