How to View Outstanding Liability by Jurisdiction on the Dashboard

Updated 5 months ago

This article will help you understand how to access and interpret your tax liabilities per jurisdiction using the updated bar chart on the Dashboard.

What is “Outstanding Liability by Jurisdiction”?

This section shows you how much sales tax you currently owe, broken down by jurisdiction (e.g., states, provinces, or tax regions).

Previously, this data appeared in a line chart. It’s now displayed as a bar chart for improved clarity and comparison.

Where to Find It

  1. After logging in, you will see the Kintsugi dashboard.

  2. Scroll down to the Details section.

3. Click the Outstanding Liability tab and it will show you the Outstanding Liability by Jurisdiction.

Note: If you have an outstanding liability in multiple jurisdictions, you will see multiple bar charts.

  • There will be a bar chart for each jurisdiction.

  • The length of the chart is equivalent to the amount owed.

Why Bar Charts?

  • Easier visual comparison between jurisdictions

  • Quickly spot which regions have higher or lower tax obligations

  • Cleaner layout for users with multiple filing regions

Use Case Example

If you need to review where you owe the most tax before filing deadlines, this chart gives you a clear breakdown of your obligations at a glance.

Troubleshooting Tip

If the chart doesn’t load or appears empty:

  • Make sure you have tax liabilities in at least one jurisdiction.

  • Refresh your browser or clear cache.
