This article lists every platform Kintsugi connects to and the connection type each one supports. Use it to check whether your stack is covered before you set anything up.
There are two connection types, and the difference decides whether tax gets collected from your customers.
Read-only | Tax-engine | |
|---|---|---|
What Kintsugi does | Imports your data | Imports your data and returns tax to the platform |
Tax at checkout | Not calculated by Kintsugi | Calculated by Kintsugi |
Who sets tax on the invoice | Your platform, or nobody | Kintsugi |
Best for | Monitoring exposure, preparing filings, reporting | Full automation, including collection |
A read-only connection is enough to see your exposure and to file. It is not enough to collect tax. If you register in a new jurisdiction on a read-only connection, you also enable tax collection inside your platform, or tax will not be charged to your customers.

Payroll connections exist because where your people are can create physical nexus. They do not carry sales data.
Upload your transactions as a file from Data Sources using the provided CSV template. Each row needs a postal code and a two-letter ISO country code, plus a state for the United States and Canada. Uploaded transactions stay in Kintsugi and do not sync back to your platform, so keep your customer IDs consistent to avoid duplicate records.
This article lists platform availability only. It does not list which fields each platform syncs, how often each one syncs, or the setup steps, all of which live in that platform's own guide. It also does not list plan requirements beyond the ones noted, since plan gating is documented in the billing article.
Q: What integrations does Kintsugi have?
A: The tables above are the complete list. Ecommerce, billing, accounting, ERP, and payroll platforms are all covered, and anything not listed can be brought in by CSV upload.
Q: What is the difference between a read-only and a tax-engine integration?
A: Read-only imports your data so Kintsugi can monitor exposure and prepare filings. Tax-engine also returns calculated tax to your platform so tax is collected at checkout.
Q: Can I connect more than one store or entity?
A: Yes. Connect each store separately, and see How Kintsugi Supports Multi-Entity Setup for ERP and Billing Integrations for entity structures.
Q: Can I switch from read-only to tax-engine later?
A: Yes, where a tax-engine connection is available for your platform. Follow Enable Tax Collection on a Tax-Engine Integration.
Q: Does Kintsugi integrate with QuickBooks Desktop?
A: No. QuickBooks Online only.
Q: My platform is on the list but I cannot find it in the app. Why?
A: Some connectors require enablement by our team or a specific plan. Reach out via chat and we will confirm what applies to your account.
