If you no longer need to collect or remit sales tax in a state, you can request to de-register your business directly in the Kintsugi app.
Step 1: Submit a De-Registration Request
Open the Kintsugi app.
Go to Registrations in the left-hand menu.
Find the state or jurisdiction you want to de-register from.
Click the three dots ⋯ next to the state name.
5. Select De-register.
6. Click Confirm on the pop-up message.
7. Once submitted, the state will move to the bottom of your list and show as De-registered after confirmation.
Step 2: Processing Your Request
Our team will review your request and process the de-registration.
Processing times vary depending on the state. We’ll notify you once it's complete.
Before You De-Register
Make sure all taxes, fees, and filings are up to date.
Some states require extra paperwork. If that applies, we’ll guide you through it.
