Overview
Some banks use debit blockers as a security measure to prevent unauthorized ACH debits. If your account has this feature, you must "whitelist" Kintsugi's ACH originator IDs to allow your tax payments to go through successfully.
What is a Debit Blocker?
A debit blocker prevents withdrawals from your account unless the transaction is from an authorized (“whitelisted”) ACH originator ID.
While this protects your account, it can also block legitimate tax payments.
What are ACH Originator IDs
ACH originator IDs are unique identifiers assigned to each authorized debit source.
You'll need to provide your bank with the ACH originator IDs for your tax authorities so they can authorize Kintsugi's payments
Best Practices
Check with your bank: Contact them to see if debit blockers are active on your account.
Whitelist IDs: If debit blockers are enabled, ask your bank to whitelist the necessary originator IDs well before your tax filing deadlines.
Allow processing time: Bank authorizations can take several business days, so plan ahead.
