Integrations occasionally disconnect, which is normal; they usually need a quick reconnect to resume syncing.
A disconnected integration can happen for a few reasons:
Expired or revoked access token. Most platforms rotate or expire authorization tokens periodically for security, and the connection breaks until it's refreshed.
Permission or role issues. The user, role, or API key connected to the integration may be missing permissions it needs to sync data.
The connected account is paused, frozen, or locked. This is usually due to a billing issue or an action taken directly on the platform's side, not in Kintsugi.
Firewall or security settings. Tools like a WAF, bot protection, or security plugin can block sync requests even when the connection looks healthy.
Temporary platform-side maintenance. Some disconnects are transient and clear on their own within a few minutes.
In general:
Go to Settings → Integrations in Kintsugi.
Find the connection marked Invalid, Revoked, or Invalid configuration.
Click Reconnect or Re-authorize.
Log in to the platform and complete the full authorization/permissions flow, then wait for the redirect back to Kintsugi.
The exact steps, required permissions, and common errors vary by platform. Visit the links below for the process specific to your integration:
Note: Some integration-specific reconnection guides are still in progress. If a guide isn't available for your integration yet, use the general reconnection steps above or contact Kintsugi Support for assistance.
Q: Will reconnecting affect my existing data or past filings?
A: No. Re-authorizing a connection only refreshes the credentials Kintsugi uses to talk to the platform; it doesn't touch data that's already been synced or filings that have already been submitted.
Q: How will I know if an integration has disconnected?
A: The integration's status in Settings → Integrations will change to something like Invalid, Revoked, or Invalid configuration. You may also notice that new transactions or data have stopped syncing.
Q: Will reconnecting create duplicate data?
A: No. Reconnecting just restores the existing connection; it doesn't re-import or duplicate historical records.
Do I need to redo any of my settings after reconnecting?
A: No. Your integration settings and configuration stay as they were. Reconnecting only re-establishes the authorization.
Q: Can I reconnect using a different login or account than before?
A: It's best to reconnect using the same account that was originally connected, since switching accounts can change what data syncs. If you need to connect a different account, contact support first.
Q: What if reconnecting doesn't fix the issue?
A: Contact Kintsugi support. Some disconnects need a fix on our end or on the platform's side and won't be resolved by re-authorizing alone.
Q: Is my data at risk while an integration is disconnected?
A: No. A disconnect only pauses syncing; it doesn't affect or expose any data that's already in Kintsugi.
