Oklahoma Credentials for Importing Registration

How to locate the state-issued credentials required for importing your Oklahoma registration.
Updated 7 days ago

To import your existing Oklahoma sales tax registration into Kintsugi, you'll need to provide a few details issued by the Oklahoma Tax Commission when you registered your business. Oklahoma manages its tax accounts through the Oklahoma Taxpayer Access Point (OkTAP), the state's online portal for filing, paying, and managing business taxes. Once imported, Kintsugi can manage your Oklahoma sales tax filings.

Required Credentials

When importing an existing Oklahoma sales tax registration into Kintsugi, you'll need the following:e

  • Passphrase

  • Account Type

  • ZIP Code

  • Account ID

What's My Passphrase?

Your Passphrase is a password you create when granting third-party access to your OkTAP account. It is used to authorize external parties  like Kintsugi to access your account on your behalf.

Where to find it

Your Passphrase is one you create in OkTAP when setting up third-party access. If you haven’t created one yet, log in to your OkTAP account at oktap.tax.ok.gov, navigate to the third-party access settings, and click Allow Third Party Access in the sidebar. From there, enter and confirm your passphrase, then submit it.

⚠️ Important: Your Passphrase must be at least 10 characters long and include an uppercase letter, a lowercase letter, and a number.

What's My Account Type?

Your Account Type identifies the type of tax account you hold with the Oklahoma Tax Commission. For sales tax purposes, this will typically be your Sales Tax account type.

Where to find it

You can find your Account Type in any of the following places:

  • Your OkTAP account. Log in at oktap.tax.ok.gov and review your account summary. The account type is displayed alongside your account details.

  • Oklahoma Tax Commission correspondence. Any notices or letters from the OTC will reference your account type.

What's My ZIP Code?

Your ZIP Code is the ZIP code associated with the primary business address you used when registering for your Oklahoma sales tax account.

Where to find it

You can find your ZIP Code in any of the following places:

  • Your OkTAP account. Log in at oktap.tax.ok.gov and review your business profile or account details to confirm the ZIP code on file.

  • Oklahoma Tax Commission correspondence. Any notices or letters from the OTC will reflect the address, including ZIP code, associated with your account.

⚠️ Important: The ZIP code you provide must match the ZIP code on file with the Oklahoma Tax Commission.

What's My Account ID?

Your Account ID is the tax account number assigned to your business by the Oklahoma Tax Commission. It is a three-letter account type prefix + 10 digits, often displayed with hyphens, such as STS-12345678-04 for sales tax.

Where to find it

You can find your Account ID in any of the following places:

  • Your OkTAP account. Log in at oktap.tax.ok.gov and navigate to your sales tax account summary. Your Account ID is displayed at the top of your account details.

  • Oklahoma Tax Commission correspondence. Any notices, letters, or account-related communications from the OTC will include your Account ID.

Need to Grant Account Access?
