Connect Client's Data Sources and Upload Transactions to Kintsugi Portfolio

Connect platforms and upload files for your clients
Updated 22 hours ago

Kintsugi needs each client's transactions to calculate nexus, liability, and filings. From the Data Sources page in your portfolio you can connect a client's platforms, fix broken connections, and upload transaction files, all without opening the client organization separately.

Every data source belongs to exactly one client. Connections and transaction data are never shared between the clients in your portfolio.

Before You Start

  • Select the client first. Every connection and upload applies to one client organization.

  • For platform connections, have the client's admin credentials or API key for that platform ready.

Connect a Platform

  1. In your portfolio, open Data Sources.

  2. Click the Connect Data Source button in the top-right corner then select Connect Integrations.

  3. Complete the information:

    1. Choose the client organization.

    2. Select the source or platform you’re going to connect.

    3. Click Continue to proceed.

  4. Follow the prompts. Depending on the platform you will paste an API key, complete a form, or sign in to the platform.

See Data Sources in Kintsugi for platform-specific integration guides.

  1. When the connection shows as active, Kintsugi begins importing the client's historical transactions, back to the first transaction available.

Reconnect a Broken Connection

Connections expire, most often when the credentials behind them change. If a connection shows an error or an expired status, click Reauthorize and sign in again. Transactions resume from where the sync stopped. This works the same way in the portfolio as it does inside an individual organization.

Upload Transaction Files

  1. In your portfolio, open Data Sources.

  2. Click the Connect Data Source button in the top-right corner then select

  1. See the steps in How to Upload Sales Transactions in Kintsugi

Expected result: Transactions appear in the client's Transactions list and flow through to Monitoring, Registrations, and Filings. Exposure figures are not final until the import finishes.

Good to Know

  • A few platforms still complete their connection in the main Kintsugi app. If a connection opens app.trykintsugi.com, the person signing in must already be a user of that client organization. See Kintsugi Portfolio Troubleshooting if you see "no organization available."

  • For the current list of platforms and what each one syncs, see Platforms You Can Connect with Kintsugi.

  • Historical imports can take time. Large stores may need a couple of hours, and very large datasets longer, before nexus results are complete.
