Using the Transactions Tab in Kintsugi

A complete walkthrough of features and functions of the Transactions Tab

The Transactions tab in Kintsugi gives you a detailed view of all transactions pulled from your connected integrations. From here, you can search, filter, export, and manage transaction data to stay on top of your sales tax obligations.


Accessing the Transactions Tab

  1. Log in to your Kintsugi account.

  2. From the left-hand menu, select Transactions.

  3. The Transactions page will display, showing your transaction list and dashboard.


Key Features

Search

Use the search bar at the top of the page to quickly locate transactions by:

  • Customer name

  • Transaction ID

  • Status

  • Jurisdiction


Quick Actions

  • Kintsugi Sheets (green icon): Opens Kintsugi Sheets through Google Workspace Marketplace. (See our article: Introducing Kintsugi Sheets)

  • Export to Excel: Send transaction reports directly to your email within 1–2 minutes. You can export:

    • Transaction Details – Full transaction data with jurisdiction-level summaries.

    • Transaction Summary – Aggregated data at the jurisdiction level.

Before submitting an export request, select:

  • Country

  • Start and end year

  • Whether to include invalid addresses


Filters

Click the filter icon (top right) to refine which transactions are displayed. You can filter by:

  • Country

  • Jurisdiction

  • Transaction type (Sale, Credit Note)

  • Transaction source (specific integration)

  • Address status (Verified, Unverified, Partially verified, Invalid, Unverifiable)

  • Filing status

  • Transaction status

    • Pending: In progress, not finalized

    • Committed: Paid and final

    • Canceled: Voided, never completed

    • Fully refunded: Entire payment returned

    • Partially refunded: Only part of payment returned

  • Marketplace

  • Date range


Dashboard Highlights

At the top of the Transactions page, you’ll see quick figures for:

  • Total transactions

  • Total sales

  • Taxable sales

  • Incomplete addresses

⚠️ Pay special attention to incomplete addresses.

  • Click Incomplete Addresses to review transactions missing or requiring address verification.

  • Update or validate details as needed, then approve them.


Transaction Table

The main table displays:

  • ID

  • Customer name

  • Description

  • Date

  • Jurisdiction

  • Amount

  • Converted amount

  • Tax liability

  • Status

Actions:

  • Archive transactions – via the kebab menu (three dots).

  • Customize columns – Add or remove fields such as subtotal, discount, tax collected, transaction type, marketplace, etc.


Pagination and Display Options

  • Navigate through pages or jump to a specific page number.

  • Adjust results per page: 25, 50, or 100 transactions.


Why This Matters

The Transactions tab is your central hub for monitoring and managing all sales activity feeding into Kintsugi. Use it to:

  • Verify addresses

  • Track taxable sales

  • Export detailed reports

  • Customize your view to focus on what matters most
